Fujian Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Group Eight Convenes Mobilization Meeting for the Supervision of Industrial Bank’s Party Committee

On April 15, as per the deployment by the Provincial Party Committee, the mobilization meeting for the supervision of Industrial Bank’s Party Committee by Inspection Group Eight was held. Prior to the meeting, Wu Hanbin, the leader of Inspection Group Eight, presided over a preliminary communication meeting with Lv Jiajin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Industrial Bank, and Chen Xinjian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and President of the Bank. During this meeting, the directives regarding the inspection work issued by the Provincial Party Committee were conveyed, and the work arrangements were outlined. At the meeting, Wu Hanbin delivered a mobilizing speech, setting forth requirements for conducting the inspection effectively. Lv Jiajin chaired and addressed the meeting.

Attending the meeting were Chen Wenhua and Chen Xiangfu, deputy leaders of Inspection Group Eight, along with other comrades. Members of the leadership team of Industrial Bank’s Party Committee, principal responsible persons from subsidiaries, branches, and departments at the head office, the head of the resident discipline inspection and supervision team, and some retired comrades who had previously served as team members were also present.

Wu Hanbin emphasized that finance is the lifeblood of the national economy and crucial to the construction of Chinese-style modernization. Conducting inspections of provincially managed financial entities is a critical measure to uphold and strengthen the Party’s comprehensive leadership over financial activities, ensuring the implementation of the “two upholds.” It is vital for promoting the fulfillment of functional responsibilities and providing high-quality financial services for economic and social development. It also reflects the implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important ideas on the Party’s self-reform and the drive to intensify comprehensive governance of the Party. The Party Committee of Industrial Bank must elevate its political stance, fully recognize the significance of the inspection of provincially managed financial units, approach the task with a high sense of responsibility towards the Party’s cause, and a spirit willing to undertake self-reform. They are to actively welcome supervision through inspection and continue to solidify and expand the achievements of themed education.

Wu Hanbin, leader of the Inspection Group, emphasized that the supervision of Industrial Bank would be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The group will rigorously implement the newly revised Regulations on the Work of Party Inspection of the Communist Party of China, maintain its focus on political inspection, and comprehensively apply the guiding principles of inspection work. The primary task is to uphold the “two upholds” — the core of their mission. Implementing the spirit of the Party’s 20th National Congress, the significant directives on financial work issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and the resolutions from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Plenary Sessions of the 11th Provincial Party Committee, as well as the spirit of the Provincial Party Committee’s financial work conference, will be of paramount importance. The inspection will aim to strengthen deterrence, emphasize both symptomatic and root cause remedies, and focus on identifying and correcting any political and responsibility deviations in the duties of Industrial Bank’s Party Committee to enhance the effectiveness of inspection as a sharp tool. The Inspection Group will deepen the “Learn Extensively, Dare to Lead, Work Hard for Results” initiative, focusing on power and responsibility, engaging in “deep well” supervision, and primarily reviewing the Party Committee’s adherence to important speeches and directives from General Secretary Xi Jinping. It will check the implementation of major decisions and deployments by the Party Central Committee and provincial committee work requirements, strengthen political construction, focus on core responsibilities and main business, provide high-quality financial services for economic and social development, balance development and safety, prevent and resolve financial risks, implement comprehensive and deepened reforms, advance supply-side structural reforms in finance, enforce strict governance within the Party, promote integrity and anti-corruption in the financial sector, strengthen leadership teams, cadre and talent development, grassroots party construction, and rectify issues identified by supervision and auditing to ensure corrective actions are implemented. These efforts will provide a strong political guarantee for the profound implementation of the strategy to strengthen Fujian’s financial sector.

Lv Jiajin stated that the entire bank must earnestly elevate its political stance, fully recognize the critical importance of the inspection process, and align thoughts and actions with the decision-making deployments of the Party Central Committee and the provincial committee’s work requirements. The Bank is committed to firmly upholding the “two establishes” and resolutely practicing the “two upholds.” It is essential to enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency, actively engage with higher standards and stricter requirements, and fully cooperate to facilitate the smooth progression of the inspection process. The Bank must also strengthen the comprehensive utilization of inspection outcomes, conduct in-depth rectifications of issues, and use inspections as a catalyst for improvement, construction, and governance, continually perfecting long-term mechanisms. Taking this inspection as an opportunity, Industrial Bank aims to further deepen its understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on financial work, earnestly implement the spirits of the Central and Provincial Party Committee’s financial work meetings, steadfastly pursue the path of financial development with Chinese characteristics, and effectively serve as Fujian’s leading force in finance, making greater contributions to building a financially strong country and province.

The Provincial Party Committee Inspection Group Eight will be working at Industrial Bank for approximately 50 days. During the inspection period, a dedicated hotline (18020877601) and a postal mailbox (No. A281, Fuzhou, Fujian Province) have been established. The inspection team will accept calls daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and receive letters and visits until June 2. In accordance with the Regulations on the Work of Party Inspection of the Communist Party of China, the Inspection Group will primarily handle complaints and reports regarding the leadership team of Industrial Bank’s Party Committee, other cadres managed by the Provincial Committee, principal responsible persons of the next level, and key position leaders. The focus will be on issues related to violations of political, organizational, integrity, mass, work, and life disciplines. Issues not within the scope of the inspection will be carefully addressed by Industrial Bank and relevant departments as per regulations.
